Custom Products
I almost don't like the term 'Custom'; after all, most of our products are made to order. But the truth is, most of the items we make are for conventional 10-frame Langstroth hives, with 9 5/8" high deep boxes and 6 5/8" (Dadant) honey supers. So, that's what we usually produce and we keep a bit of inventory of those items. A number of our current offerings started out as ideas from our customers though, so please don't be shy about asking for something a little different. We love designing new products, and we're confident you'll be very happy with the final product. Rest assured, we don't charge a premium for custom orders.
Below are a few examples of some custom products we can make for you - the possibilities are limited only by your imagination!
  • 8-frame equipment (supers, brood boxes, bottom boards, inner and outer covers etc.)
  • Warré Hives and related components
  • Shallow (5 11/16") honey supers
  • Inner Cover with a 'custom' hole, to better suit whatever type of hive-top feeder you may have.
With the success of the Flow Hive, we often build extra equipment for current users of 8-frame equipment and are happy to offer our usual products, scaled down to perfectly fit your Flow Hive components.

Depending on the item, our lead time on custom products usually ranges from a day or two, up to a couple of weeks. If you're in a rush, let us know and we'll do our best to help!

We also offer a variety of different finishes, including various stains, pigments, and oils, and paint colours. We tend to prefer bee-friendly and eco-friendly finishes, such as Tung Oil. Depending on what you have in mind, we are happy to work with you to create something truly unique!
